Psychic Development

“Everyone is psychic. You are psychic. It is an ability that we all have. It's a part of your mind.... Psychic perception does not come through the thinking mind, nor does it come through emotional feelings -- it comes from the psychic plane of intuition -- another avenue within mind. To reach into that avenue, a stillness has to be developed, because the impressions from the psychic plane are clouded over by emotions and thoughts.

"It is very, very difficult to hear a radio station that might have wonderful music if there are two larger stations next to it on either side of it on the dial. The signal can be lost in the disturbance.

"So within you there is a continuous signal -- a continuous perception is taking place deep within the mind -- but it's hard to hear that signal because it is blurred over by your own thoughts, your desires, your fears. It is blurred over by your emotional swings. And as you live in this world, unless you live a very different type of life, you lose your sensitivity. You become dull. Sensitivity can be regained by leading your life differently." Rama - Dr. Frederick Lenz

Buddhism

"Buddhism is the enlightenment cycle -- and there are different types of it. Principally there is short path and long path Buddhism. The long path is more of the religious aspect, that is to say, the church aspect: the practice of reading sutras, healthy ways of living, a certain amount of prayer, a little meditation. The esoteric aspect of Buddhism, which is short path Buddhism, is meditation." Rama - Dr. Frederick Lenz

A Clean Room

Walden by Henry David Thoreau is an advertisement for the mind state of "keeping your room clean" or having an uncluttered life and mind. As Buddhists we seek to experience more life and less self.

Buddhism

In Buddhism we seek that which is ineffable - that which cannot be seen with the eyes or felt with the hands. We seek to find the still center in the middle of all the turning worlds, simply because we like that, we know that's where we belong.

Tenacity

A real enlightened teacher is intense and they are not going to fit into Hollywood images of a teacher. To become enlightened, you need to do what no one does, transcend the self. The steps and maneuvers to become enlightened are learned inwardly from someone who is enlightened.

The Yoga of Mysticism and Power

“There are four principal pathways that lead to self-realization. Mysticism is the hidden way.... "The path of love seeks to unite us with immortality through love of God. The path of selfless giving seeks to unite us with immortality, with nirvana, through action. Love is passive; self-giving is active. Jnana yoga, the path of discrimination, seeks to unite us with eternity through knowledge -- by pushing away all illusions of the self and coming to know who and what we are....

“Mysticism uses power -- the utilization of power to unite us with our eternal self. When we practice mysticism, we deal with two sides of ourselves: that which is seen and that which is unseen. The part of our being that we see is the island of the first attention. The part of ourself that we're not conscious of is the ocean of our second attention.” Rama – Dr. Frederick Lenz
