On August 27, 2016 – Time: 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST – the RMS Book Club will discuss The Life of Marpa
Marpa the Translator, the eleventh-century farmer, scholar, and teacher, is one of the most renowned saints in Tibetan Buddhist history. Marpa is best known through his teacher, the Indian yogin Nâropa, and through his closest disciple, Milarepa. Marpa succeeded in mastering the tantric teachings and translating and bringing them to Tibet.
